Growing up in Barcelona, I am native bilingual in both Spanish and Catalan, so that’s where my love of languages began.
I originally studied film, but it became clear that English was a must. So, in 2004, I took a long shot and moved to the UK. I wanted to learn more English and experience the culture as well. I’ve now made my life here in the South of England with my young family.
For many years, I’ve provided business support to companies and organisations across various sectors, including the Travel and Tourism industry. Three years ago, I realised that I would love to help small and medium businesses thrive by using my language skills.
I’ve spent the last four years training as a translator, and I am now an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL). I have a CIOL qualification Level 6 Certificate in Translation and I’ve trained in website translation, SEO, and marketing translation through specialist training courses and webinars.
Not only that, but I regularly travel to Spain to visit family and friends, so I am still strongly connected with the language and culture. As well as trips to Spain, I love travelling through France, and Italy, which has made me passionate about their language, food, and cultures.
I enjoy cooking, and I have a love for interior design. In my free time, you could find me reading about food, browsing interior design magazines, and keeping up to date with the Travel industry. I am always curious and always thinking about what I can learn next. As a busy mum of two bilingual children, I love visiting the great outdoor spaces that Hampshire and the South of England has to offer.
